Better Braid Technology
To make the best rope, Sterling engineered a manufacturing system called Better Braid TechnologyTM. This multi-level process involves state-of-the-art equipment, the highest quality fibers, innovative engineering and construction, continual testing and improvement, and a managed quality system.
First, we test fibers, constructions and applications. Next, Sterling balances all factors in the design/construction process number of falls, weight, dynamic elongation, static elongation, impact force and tensile strength. We test theories and ideas through the design process, and then test our products on our in-house rope testing facilities and in the field in real-life situations. We are a certified ISO 9001 company ensuring that our quality system is audited and world class. All of our products required to be third party tested are tested and certified to the appropriate standard - UIAA, EN, CE, and NFPA.
Because every climbing experience or rescue operation is different, we strive to make ropes perform flawlessly under any condition and last under the most abusive situations. We have some of the best, most experienced, and well respected climbers and technical rope trainers using, testing, and endorsing our products. We review the data and listen to our testers, getting them involved to gain better insight on how our ropes perform. We do this as part of our ongoing quest to make our rope and cord products live up to our trademark standards - high quality, superior durability, and top performance.
